Today we learn how to ask, "Aan ezhiwebak?" (How's the weather?) Then we can add in words like "noongom" (today) or "agwajiing" (outside). Today my answer was, "Ningokwan agwajiing." (It is cloudy outside) I'll add some more videos so you can learn some other weather words too!

Earth Day every day, all day! Noongom (today) we're learning how to say "miigwech" (thank you) and name some of the things we are thankful for: aki (the Earth), nibi (water), gitigaanan (plants), mitigoog (trees), awensiwag (animals), mashkikiwan (medicines - from the plants), miijim (food), giizis (the Sun). Today we learn how to ask someone what their name is and how to introduce ourselves in Anishinaabemowin. Miigwech to my helper, niday Beau, even if he slept through most of the video! Boozhoo! Anishinaabemodaa!
Hello! Let's speak Ojibwe! At school we have been learning how to speak Anishinaabemowin together. Since we can't see one another in person right now I thought this would be a good time to start making the language videos I promised you. I hope you will share them with your families and have fun practicing together! |
